PETALAS COFFEE TABLE
by Jorge Zalszupin, 1962
Designed in 1962, the octagonal Petalas coffee table was inspired by the folded paper structures of origami, and reutilized the leftover pieces from another of Zalszupin's table, the Andorinha, for its fabrication. With elegant curved wood, and exquisite Jacaranda veneer, the Petalas is a rare Brazilian mid•century classic.
